Chocolate Protein Bites | Recipe | Healthy

chocolate protein balls bites

By now you’ll probably know that I have an unhealthy addiction to chocolate. Luckily, I’ve found a way to fuel my chocolate addiction whilst living a healthier lifestyle. I like to spend my spare time experimenting in the kitchen and I’m always mixing up a new recipe to help me to get my chocolate fix in a healthy, tasty way. If I offered you one of these chocolate protein bites, you seriously wouldn’t be able to guess that they’re actually good for you. This is a simple recipe. There’s nothing fancy here, no towers of pancakes dripping in chai seeds, goji berries and honey. There’s also no aesthetically pleasing brownies dusted with cocoa, delicately laid out on brown parchment for a 3 hour photoshoot before eating. Nope, these are just simple, fudgy, chocolate bites. Honestly, I think their simplicity speaks loud enough. Just run to your kitchen, whip these up and find out for yourself.

This recipe makes 6-8 balls, which should provide 2 servings.

You will need:
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I used 30g of Kinetica Chocolate whey protein)
1 tbsp cacao or unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp coconut flour
1 tsp sweet freedom syrup
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp almond butter

Directions:
Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Then mix in the wet ingredients. The ingredients should combine to create a sticky dough. Separate the mix and roll into balls. Then roll the chocolately protein balls in a dusting of cinnamon (or cocoa, if you prefer!). This recipe should be enough for 6 -8 balls, which forms 2 servings. It's as simple as that. Pop the chocolate protein bites in an air tight container and keep in the fridge for 5-7 days…that’s if you don’t devour them up straight away!
These are amazing for a quick chocolate fix. They are rich in flavour and are super fudgy. Oh and let’s not forget that these delicious little bites of chocolate heaven are also healthy. So, what’s not to love about that?
