I've been in a little bit of a blogging slump lately...y'know the kind, we've alllll been there. Rather than pulling my hair out over it, I simply just took a step back from the blogosphere. I spent some time in the 'real world', breathing in the fresh air and just not giving a damn about my blogging blues when BAM...I had an epiphany. I realised just what I needed to get out of this rut and re-discover my love of blogging and this is it:
Inspired by the rise of the Girl Gang, I've realised that I want my teeny-tiny corner of the internet to be a place of positivity. None of this self-centred, moaning, negative-ninny stuff...Okay, a little bit of that may still slip through the net but hey, give a girl a break, I'm only human! Everyone deserves to have a whinge every now and again but as a whole, I want my blog to be a little spot of sunshine. I want it to be a space that's positive. I want to be able to look back over my rambling, word-vomit filled blog posts with a smile on my face.
Whilst I'm on a quest to rediscover love, I also want to reclaim my love of creativity. I want to challenge myself, soak in all those creative juices and push my boundaries. I've always been drawn to creativity. I plan to embrace my creative soul and use that to keep my little blogging corner fun. By testing my creativity and appreciating other creative souls I hope to be able to keep my blog fresh. It's so easy to slip into a state of comfort and before you know it you'll be all snug in your comfort-zone with no intentions of moving. I'm saying no to the comfort zone. I'm going to open my horizons to new and different things and step away from my self-created comfort zone.
All in all, I want my blog to be a place of positivity, creativity and sharing the love. I want it to be a place where I can be real, appreciate the good and laugh off the bad. I want my blog to be filled with unicorns, glitter and girl power. But most importantly, I just want it to be something that challenges me and still be something I enjoy; something that I can look back on thinking "Yeah, that was fun to do".
So, please keep a close eye on this space for the shiny yet totally rough around the edges Grandiose Days blog :)
