Winter is drawing close and Birchbox UK want to make sure that we are fully prepared for those cold nights. The November Birchbox is the perfect accompaniment for a cosy night in...hence the name 'Cosy at Home' for this month's box.

My box arrived in amazing condition. Well, that is despite my postman putting it in the outdoor bin for me to have to later climb in the bin to retrieve it...not quite the epitome of glamour! Inside the box I found 6 great products, including a lifestyle product. There's also a comfort themed product guide included in the box, which is both a lovely touch and rather helpful.

Stashed inside the lovely drawstring Birchbox bag, the first product I noticed was the Dr. Jart + V7 Relief Vita Drop. This product is full size and retails at £26. It's described as hydration in a tube, a moisturising lotion designed to be used after cleansing. I was so happy to receive this product, it has a lovely scent and leaves my skin feeling softer and brighter. It's also supposed to increase elasticity, so fingers crossed it protects my skin and keeps me looking fresh-faced this winter!

The next product in the box was a sample of Drinkwel. I received 6 capsule tablets, though the full size product usually costs £39.99. Drinkwel is a veggie-friendly multivitamin that you should take to help you recover from a big night out of drinking and dancing. I don't tend to drink, so the chances of me buying this product are slim. But I intend to give my sample a try over Christmas, when I imagine I will be having a few drinks! I imagine this product would be worthwhile, if you are someone who enjoys nights out but hates the next morning.

Included in my box was also a full size OPI Coca-Cola Red nail polish (£11.95). I was pretty excited to receive a full size OPI product. I don't tend to wear Red but it definitely has me feeling festive. I'll be giving my nails a lick of paint with this polish as Christmas is just round the corner.

Another product I received that is bound to be a god-send for the colder days is a sample of Weleda Almod Smoothing Facial Oil (£14.95). Over winter, my skin really does suffer. So I feel that this product could become a dressing table essential over the winter months. It is a blend of organic almond and plum kernel oils, which work to keep skin well protected from the cold.

When it comes to my hair, I have to admit that I don't take much care. I was really happy to see that in my box I received not one, but two (!!!) sample tubs of Beauty Protector protect & treat Hair Mask (£16).  Receiving two tubs was great because my hair is so long that one little tub definitely wouldn't cover it. This deep conditioning mask is filled with argan oil, honey, amver and crushed pearls. It sounds and smells seriously divine. I'll be giving my hair a bit of TLC and applying this to the ends of my hair. Who knows, it may convince me to start treating my hair with a bit more love on a regular basis.

The final item I received is a sample of Lord & Berry Sunny Mini Bronzer (£19). I've heard of Lord & Berry before so I am really looking forward to testing this out. The bronzer has a really soft, sheen feel to it and has lovely pigmentation. I'll be using this to add a splash of life to my near translucent cheeks this autumn.

Over all, I was really pleased with the products that I received, especially both of the full size products! The total RRP of the full size versions of the products I was gifted with is £127.89 (with the two full size ones I actually received equalling £37.95). I haven't felt disappointed by a single product and feel that they meet my needs almost perfectly. It definitely makes the £10 per month worthwhile.
