A cup of coffee. It’s the perfect way to start any morning, right? The very moment that first sip of coffee touches your lips is probably the best part of the morning. Most of us can’t function without that first cup of coffee. But what about sharing your morning shower with coffee too? Coffee scrubs are all the rage right now and with good reason too. There are so many amazing benefits that you can gain from the use of coffee scrubs. As soon as you read about these wonderful benefits, you’ll be left wondering why you didn’t start rubbing your beloved coffee all over your skin sooner!
With coffee scrubs being ultimately popular right now, it’s about time you learned the reasons why. I’m sure you’ve heard of Frank Body. Frank can be found getting down and dirty with all the beautiful babes of Instagram. Frank is the proof that despite looking incredibly filthy, coffee scrubs can leave your skin looking, feeling, and smelling totally divine afterwards. Frank offers coffee scrubs from as little as £11.95 for 200g worth of scrub! Their choice of scrubs range from the original to cacoa to peppermint! They are 100% cruelty free and made from natural goodness only. So, they are definitely worth checking out.
Alternatively, you can make your own scrub! Though be warned that it may not be quite as luxurious as Frank, which contains lots of other loving (and natural) ingredients that care for and nourish your skin. As small stocking stuffers this Christmas, I’ve made my own coffee scrubs (which can be seen at the end of this post!)
Now, let’s get talking about those benefits…
Obviously, with a scrub that contain coffee granules and sugar, one of the benefits it’s going to be exfoliation. Exfoliating with a coffee scrub will remove any dead skin to reveal the healthy and soft skin beneath. Another great bonus is that coffee scrubs are a natural exfoliator, meaning there are no harsh chemicals or additives being used on your skin.  A further benefit of exfoliating with a coffee scrub, is that it will stimulate circulation. This will leave your skin gleaming and glowing.
Coffee is rich in antioxidants. This makes the coffee scrub a great anti-inflammatory product. This is due to the caffeic acid that can be found in coffee…but we won’t delve too deep into the science of it all! Basically, this means that due to anti-inflammatory activity, it can help heal skin wounds, eczema, posiriasis, scarring, acne…and so much more!
As mentioned earlier, coffee scrub can stimulate circulation. This stimulation can increase blood flow with may reduce the appearance of varicose veins and cellulite. Massaging the coffee scrub into your skin help combat these skin issues by releasing toxins and fats that are held in the skin.
Whilst the coffee, stimulates, exfoliates and repairs your skin. The coconut oil will work to moisturise and hydrate the skin. Coconut oil naturally contains Vitamin E. This allows it to enhance healthy skin growth and repair. In turn, this will keep your skin smooth and well nourished. The proteins found in coconut oil will keep skin both healthy and rejuvenated. Over time, the proteins in coconut oil can reduce the appearance of scars.
With this perfect little trio, your skin will be the left looking it’s absolute best. Your skin will be unbelievably thankful for this trio, especially at this time of year when the cold weather can be damaging to our skin!
So whip up a coffee scrub (or purchase one from Frank!) and let me know what you think of it
